Ah, this article in The Gaurdian about Paul Willetts’ new book Teenage Flicks brings back memories of epic Subbuteo battles played out on my bedroom floor. Most memorable was the fully-fledged World Cup our office staged during the idle weeks of the national journalists’ strike in 1978.
