Even as a QPR supporter I thought The Second Richest Club in West London were hard done by in last night’s Greatest European Champions League Final Ever Shown On Sky. But that’s certainly not going to stop me having a good laugh at England’s Brave and Tearful John Terry’s expense.

Oh no, not Dowie!

So much for my boys QPR being “the richest club in England”. With all that backing, if the best we can do is Iain Dowie, you rally have to question the owners’ ambition. Dowie’s a nice bloke and all that but he is hardly the calibre we need to turn the club around and take it to the next level. His track record is hardly impressive – this is is fourth club in two years and apart from a brief flourish at Palace, all his teams have struggled or been relegated. That says it all.

Spanning the missing sync

I’m a big fan of GMail – it’s been my primary e-mail for a while now – but one thing that bugs me is that I can’t sync my Mac address book with my GMail contacts. But salvation is finally at hand. Spanning Sync, a great tool I use to sync my Mac iCal with my (preferred) Google Calendar, will shortly release version 2.0 which will do both Contacts and Calendar syncs. If it works as well as this demo, I’ll be first in line …
