If you like that smoky r and b, retro-60s style a la Amy Winehouse with a touch of Dusty Springfield, you’re going to love Duffy. Don’t know too much about her but she’s already topped the UK album and singles charts. Check out the “Mercy” video here and more on her website. In a similar vein, Adele’s “19” is well worth a listen. Other good new stuff I’m listening to: the splendid Nick Cave’s “Dig, Lazarus, Dig!”, Goldfrapp’s “Seventh Tree”, and catchy Colorado band OneRepublic’s “Dreaming Out Loud”
