PicLens brings web alive

PicLens | Immersive Views Across the Web

Very impressed with PicLens, a new Firefox plug-in I picked up from a recent TWIT podcast. Basically it brings an iTunes/Apple TV-style menu and coverflow to any images and video on the web. In fact, you can search out pretty much anything – news, sport, tech, movies, music – using its graphic “3D  search” and then just click and play the clip. It works with YouTube, Amazon, Google, Flickr, Facebook and a bunch of other sites. It’s produced by CoolIris and you can download it free for Firefox 2 and 3 (Mac and Windows), Internet Explorer and Safari. Very cool – well worth trying out.
