CNN.com – Special Reports – The 44th President – The Moment

If you saw CNN’s Inauguration coverage you may have seen them talk about the “3D Moment”, a clever piece of technology from Microsoft called Photosynth that creates 3D composites from hundreds of 2D digital images. CNN viewers e-mailed in their shots of “The Moment” Obama was sworn in and the result is a pretty cool panoramic shot of an historic event. You’ll need to download Microsoft’s Silverlight to view it – it worth it as the result is lot more impressive than you could see on CNN! Follow the Photosynth link to find out how you can create similar 3D effects at home.
