Oh wouldn’t this be nice if this turns out to be true? According to Engadget, Mac lovers might finally get what they wish for in terms of a tablet based on the brilliant iPhone/Touch technology. The Taiwan Economic News reports “industry sources” saying it’ll have a 9.6-inch multitouch screen, built-in HSDPA, a long lasting battery pack, and a $799 to $999 price tag. Apparently, sources say parts are shipping to Apple in December ready for a February launch. Can I pre-order now, please?

FWIW, Axiotron has been making Mac tablet computers for some time.
Called the ModBook, they consist of various models of MacBook Pros that have been outfitted with touchscreens, and sans keyboard.
